Night At The Park

Our ward activity was at the Newnan Utility Park/Castle Park. All three units that meet in our building were invited. It was a perfect night of good weather and fun people.

Brynley Madison Wardwell

I've been kicking myself for not bringing my camera when we visited Troy and Kristin at the hospital. So this post is a bit late. They came over the other night when Gpa W came to town. So I was able to snatch a few takes...

First Harvest

This is what our garden looks like today. I'm excited how it's turned out so far. Lots of bugs, weeds and storms got in the way, but nothing to keep from the great abundance of produce. The kids have loved watching it grow and helping me pick the tomatoes and peppers.

Tomatoes are ripe and juicy! Bell peppers nice and crisp!

OOOOooo the corn! Can't wait to sink my teeth into the sweet corn tonight!

Glad to say this is ony the beginning!

Sweet Georgia South...

In case anyone wanted to know how busy our little boy was...just take a look! For a long time he's wanted to open doors and get away from us as we change his diaper. Well he was able to accomplish both recently. He wiggle away and ran to the back door and...

decided to share with the world his accomplishments...what a little stinker he is...

Wardwell Reunion

I'm finally able to get these pictures up from when everyone came out for the wedding and a reunion of fun. Here are all the families and kids. This was a fun morning...Ha! But it's good to have everyone together.

4th Of July Memories

What a summer it has been. Besides all the swimming, free movie days, play dates...A big highlight is the union of Missy and Nick Lane. It was such a treat to have all of my in-laws here to visit and enjoy the festivities. The backyard wedding was on the 4th of July so it was turned into a night of swimming and fireworks. I have to say we didn't get a whole lot out of the fireworks, because by days end we were all exhausted!! Some day the little ones won't be so little and we will be able to extend our days...
Soon I will post the rest of the the crazy, but fun pictures from having family in town. It was so nice to have them all here. Carrie, it really was a treat having a house full of kids...I love chaos...especially when they are all smiling! :) Miss all of you!

King Daddy

Father's Day had come! The kids helped make eggs in the hole for breakfast and loved watching him wear his crown all morning. They loved the place mat...you'll see it again for years to come...and fed King Daddy grapes in royal fashion. After breakfast, I started making dinner (since church is sooo stinkin' late) and watched as the kids loved playing Spongebob Life game with their beloved daddy. What a treat to have his meetings cancelled in the morning, so he can spend precious time with his little ones. That's what it is all about. Not only to recognize him for his greatness in sacrifices and dedication, but to remember what being a daddy/parent is all about...seeing your kids smile and laugh because they are truly comfortable and happy in this crazy world. To really see their joy shine through because of what we as parents create to protect and teach them; most of all that we are all our Father in Heaven's children. Happy Father's Day to all Dad's out their. We love you!

After dinner, yummy lasagna and mud pie, the kids had gotten ambitious and "made dinner" again. They pulled out all baking pans, pots and dishes known in our house and spread it all over the kitchen, in attempt to "make dinner". It was very cute to watch them pull dish after dish out of the oven (no real food of course) and feed their special cakes and breads and pies...to their dad. He was stuffed after that!

Pink and Bows

Kristin is almost to the end of round 1 in her experiences of preggoness...(how many rounds were you wanting...I mean kids?) To show the excitement I hosted her bbshower last Saturday morning. We had such good food, friends and fun. Wish I could say I made this cake...but my good friend Andrea did. And it tasted just as good... Thanks to Erika for helping with the food. It was awesome.

Don't freak out, I made sure these babies weren't face down...when I put them in the freezer...Ha!! The name of the game is "Whose Water Broke?" Using your own body heat and air through a straw you needed to free the baby...it was pretty funny.

We had good times. Hope you enjoyed it Kristin. Good luck!

Where..? Oh, There...!

Leave it to my little boy to find his own way...and leave his 'mark' ...he tried to put it back when he saw me! Oh this age is something else...

SNAKE!!!

Last night, I had Trent go out and water the garden...it was already getting dark and...lets just say I'm dessert for all those bugs out there...seriously I look like I have the chicken pox all up my legs. Of course my husband doesn't even get a nip! Point of the story...while he was multi-tasking with his phone and as he was walking around he found a snake skin! Wow, this thing is looong. It was actually quite fascinating. But as you can see from Tarin in the back ground, she wasn't too thrilled. Raegan thought it was pretty cool...

This was around bedtime so here is a bit of dialogue for you:
Tarin: "Can snakes get into our house?"
Dad: (I think they could, but why tell her) "No, they don't have any hands!"
Tarin: "But they could use their tails!"
Let's just say she had a hard time going to sleep.
BTW, I did cut Tarin's hair last night. I took about 3-4 inches off. She likes it, except she wanted me to go shorter...I couldn't do it!

Sugar Babee Boutique

I had the great opportunity to put on a boutique for a few friends of mind. It was more of a sample wholesale for children's clothing and jewelry. Melissa (Boot) Nash started her own clothing line Knuckleheads and Hula Mula. I had a few samples of the clothes so that in July when I hold the larger sale, there will be more interest and traffic. This sale was a bit slow, because there weren't too many size options. But many are curious for the end of July. Seriously cute clothes, check out the websites and then come to the slashed prices in July!

Melissa's other sister Nikki, does fresh water pearls from China. Here are just a few. She also does Baptism sets (necklace/braclet), newborn pearls...check her out at Hipbabies

Well, this was in my unfinished basement. But it was better then the humid, sticky, outside. My husband made a PVC clothes stand and did a great job! We also hung up sheets to hid our other junk...it was fun. Wish the sales were better, but we are hoping for big things to happen in July.

Someone wanted to be apart of everything.

He loved the cany bowl...

He found the big mirror...

He also wanted to add up the totals...what good company I had during the slow times!

Happy Birthday To Denham

Denham and Brennin are here for the summer! So good to see them and get the kids together and have fun times. Denhams birthday was the 6th so Sunday the 7th, when they made it to Georgia, we had a celebration.

Looks like he likes what we got him!

Thought I'd get a side view of Kristin's cute belly welly...so tiny!

AAhhh, the traditional ice cream cake!!! Thanks to Troy and Kristin for bringing this.

Hmm, maybe Ammon will grow up to be as tall as his uncle Troy!??

Seeing the kids altogether again was such a sweet site! Denham has a good aim...they hiked the hoop all the way up, hope the neighbors don't mind!

Deer Attack

I knew this day would come. A few weeks ago we had evidence of a deer in our garden. Luckily, he/she only munched on the sunflower plants.

Here is what is left of Tarin's sunflower plant.

Jarom's was stripped the worst. Fortunately they are still alive today and trying to recover.

"Anyone got a shot gun!?"

Stake Pioneer Trek

I had to steal these pictures from my friend, thanks Kelli, because the camera I used was another friends and it may be a bit before I can get some from her. With that said, I wanted to let everyone know what a great experience this was. Next time we will be Ma's and Pa's...because working with the stake only has it's views from so little of a perspective. Despite all of the rain and flash flood warnings on day one, the youth did such a great job with all the challenges this land put in front of them. (Wow, quite the gullies they came to) This trek was dedicated to my ancestor Phoebe Draper...who later settled Draper, UT but lost her husband and left to care for her 5 children. The "Women's' Pull," resembling when the men went off to battle in the mormon battalion, was emotional for me with Phoebe in mind.

Here was the start of day two. This is also the Ma and Pa from our ward, Keith and Heather Cotrell. They did such a great job. "Sorry our tent leaked!" But then again, so did everyone elses...

I did have the opportunity to do some filming for this trek. Bro. Houghtaling needed to leave, and left me with his video camera. I was honored to be the one to see all the obstacles in detail. There is one scene I hope never makes it public, this is a decree to Kim Mayfield to keep it to herself! :o)

Okay, so here is me, trying to disguise my yuck-ness. I can say I came out of this experience with only one little friend...Mr. tick didn't last long.
