Raegan's Piano Recital

Raegan officially started piano lessons with a local lady, Shannon Ipson.  She had her first recital.  Trent was on a scout over nighter with Jarom, and he is the scout master.
I loved watching and hearing Raegan play.  She worked so hard and improved so fast.  Her teacher said she was the quickest through her books.  She loves it and it shows.  Good job, baby!

These are the goodies her teacher gave her.  Bubbles and chocolate piano keys.

Kindergarden Graduation

Ammon has graduated from Kindergarden.  My baby is growing up.  They did a little performance with all the morning Kindergarden, then back to the classroom.  He kept trying to hid from me...second row third from the right.

Such a handsome little guy.

It's official...

notice how Ammon is playing with her earring...he loves to do that with my hair too, it is so cute.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL...

Tarin and Ammon's class were the only ones who did awards.  Tarin with her teacher Mrs. Johnson for, "Most Cheerful Friend" award.

Ammon's class did a last good-bye send off with releasing balloons.

Group hug.  Loved Mrs. Walton, she is an excellent teacher.  Ammon learned so much from her and her love for teaching.  We were so blessed to have her.

Tball Season Starts

Such a handsome kid all dresses up for his first game.  I especially love his little batting glove.

Our neighbor, Dave McKinzie, was the coach.  So Ammon played with their son Canyon and another neighbor Corbyn Brady.  Ammon absolutely loved the game and looked forward to every one.  He loved batting and throwing.  Now we need to work on catching.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day Trent and I started out by 4 wheeling around Eagle Mountain right next to our neighborhood.  A nice morning to be out and try some shooting.

Then I took Raegan to see "The Lego Movie" at the $3 theater.  She'd been dying to see it.  My intent was to take more kids to see it, but she was the only one who really wanted to go.  Just mom and Rae! :o)

Then at 4pm we set up "camp" in front of our good neighbors, the Vincent's for a neighborhood BBQ...they were the only ones with grass in the area, so it was perfect since it was such a hot day.

Allie and I were expecting only about 8 families to show, but over all had about 10, so it was a perfect crowd to get to know new neighbors and let the kids have fun.
great spread of food and BYOM

Steve Vincent had a great idea for a slip n slide.  It was a hit for the kids and...

...for the big kids too.

Band Concert

Jarom was moved up to Concert Band middle of the year.  He plays the Baritone on the right, in the middle of the players.  He had a great year...but now he's thinking of trying the trombone.

Sibling Love

This is my sweet baby writing notes to his brother and sisters.  He was home from school and proceeded to tell me how bored he was...blah blah blah.  I made the suggestion for him to write notes...  I didn't think he'd take me serious, but he did.  Next thing I know, he was making these messages and stuffing them into envelopes and leaving "treasure" with it on their pillows.

Ammon loves to give his monies away when he knows it will make someone else happy.  Such a tender heart.

Piano Concerto

Rian was judged on her concerto and did an excellent job.  This is her recital of the piece with her teacher.  Love watching the talent at these recitals.  Proud of you Rian for all of your hard work.

Carter's Special Day

My nephew, Carter Palmer, was baptized up in Farmington. It was a beautiful day and full of family.  To think this is half the Palmer grandkids, just from 3 of us!!  Always good to be around family.  My parents were able to make the trip.  It was great to see them too.

Congrats Carter, we <3 you.
And yes, Jarom is almost taller then Trent.

Wax Museum

While the boys were at Clear Creek for their camp time, the girls did their wax museum.  Tarin was Alice Hathaway Lee Roosevelt -- first wife of President Theodore Roosevelt.  Last minute props, but she did great!

Clear Creek 5th Grade Camp

Tarin had the fun opportunity to go to 5th grade camp at Alpine School District Clear Creek Camp down in Price Canyon by Scofield Reservoir.  She was pretty excited.  In reality, so was I.  I volunteered to go for the night that the girls were there, because I wanted to help and see what the camp was like.
Caroline, Tarin and Emma ready for departure from the school Wednesday morning.

On the drive up on the bus, it started to snow!  What?  Rain was barely in the forcast, let alone snow!  None of these girls packed for snow...  it was exciting to see it, but we all thought it would be done after a short time...

Well, as you can see, it kept on snowing, and snowing and....SNOWING!
These were the girls in the Eagle Nest Lodge cabin.  Mostly from Tarin's class, Mrs. Johnson's class.

The snow rarely let up.  It dumped at least 6-8 inches of snow while we were there...

Tarin and Madison were catching flakes on their tongues.

Team building exercises

More team building and crafting with Mrs. Jonhnson

As you can see with all the girls together, it looks like the snow melted away...it did for a short time with some sunshine, but here at the end, the snow started falling again...just in time for the boys to arrive.  They were dumped on too.
This really was a fun time.  So much fun, we decided to sign Tarin up for a week of camp in June.  Fun memories were created.  Saratoga Shores Elementary 5th grade girls 2013-2014

Visit From A Friend

A great Sunday visiting with my old roomie, Shawna (Olson) Tran from Rick's College and then at BYU.   It brought back so many memories and I loved feeling young again. :o)  Sadly, she was here in Salt Lake Valley, from Idaho, because her young son Kente is having motor and nerve issues and they have been seeing a specialist at Primary Children's Hospital.  Hope they are able to resolve things and find answers soon.  Love ya babe!
