Bunnies

The Browns, our neighbors, were babysitting some bunnies for a few days...my kids loved playing with them.

Cazy is holding Thumper and Noelle has Bear.  These two are some of my girls best buddies.

Y Mountain

The Mulberries are in town from Georgia and they had mentioned doing this hike...so I thought, I've been wanting to do this anyway, why not.  Turns out they changed their plans, but I went anyway.  Rian was a little sunburned from 7 peaks the other day, and Jarom just wasn't interested.  I was glad to take our youngest 3 and have some fun.  To my surprise we bumped into some great people!  Matt and Jenna Little were on their way down...I couldn't believe it!  This family was in the Brick Oven Apartments with us while going to BYU.  Their oldest daughter and Rian were born around the same time.  So many good memories came flooding back when seeing these guys! *gosh I'm not very photogenic!*

After visiting for a bit, we decided to get on with our hike.  My 3 amigos!

kids had to size up the trail...10 turns to the bottom of the Y

The view going up was amazing...and breath-taking (literally)!

I was so proud of my little ones making it up...it was pretty steep!  My favorite was when Ammon could see the Y in sight when hiking up and he asked if it was snow...I told him to go find out.  He took that challenge and ran the rest of the way up.  He was so cute on this hike.  Although he was a little of a complainer, he was determined to make it up and even ran some of it.  He was in front most of the way.  My girls were also troopers!  They always do a great job!  Such a fun adventure.

Our snack lunch was devoured and we set out to take the down trail.  I had warned them to go slowly and wait at each turn for me.  I had seen several people come down (on our way up) with scrapped knees and knew the gravel was slippery.  Well, you guessed it.  Ammon, being my front runner, saw Tarin as competition and face planted!  The poor guy was shaken up.  But again, he was so brave and didn't give up.  Sure he cried, but was such a good sport.

I kept showing the kids as we drove away...WE DID THAT!
They love to look for the Y now.

On our way home, I drove around BYU campus a little bit, since I haven't had the chance to yet.  And we decided to stop at the BYU Creamery.  Yum!
It was a good end to a fun morning...and...Ice cream always makes things feel better, my poor Ammy!

Snow Shack

These little snow cone shacks are all over the valley.  Someone is making good money off of these little places.  One evening we went as a family to get snow cones.  It was a lot of fun.

Mowing Days

It was about time I had Rian and Jarom start the lawn mowing.  Our backyard has to be mowed twice a week because it gets so thick!  So that is their training ground...after a bit we will move them up to the front yard.  It's been hard on Rian not having any bbsitting jobs out here in Utah.  Lots of youth to compete with.  Figured her and Jarom could earn a little each time.

Hair Cuts

My girls were all needing their hair done, and I knew Alexa Gray (from back home in GA) was going to cosmetology school here in Lehi, so I set it all up...
This was Tarin and Raegan's first time going somewhere to get their hair cut...they loved it.  Tarin and Rae took about 5 inches off and Rian only a trim.

Next day I went in to get my hair done!  It was awesome.  Alexa and Aubrey did a fabulous job.  Thanks ladies...it was so good to see Alexa.

BBShower

I helped out with a baby shower for Natalie Woods in our ward.  I made the fruit carriage and the yogurt in the cups.  It was a lot of fun.

Fun Weekend

For about a day and a half, I had the fun opportunity to watch my nephew Jack and two nieces Katie and Roxy.  They are all so adorable and made bath time so much fun.  Their mom and dad were needing to attend a funeral in Vegas, so I was happy to help.  We went to another cousin's sprinkler party, and then to another park in Daybreak to visit friends that use to live in Georgia too.
At the park, we met up first with Wendy Hill that was in the Newnan ward, and then Jeff and Brittany Butler and kids, Maddie Gardner and kids and Jeff Halliday with his daughter Isabelle.
It was so nice to see familiar faces again and reminisce about good times.  Love all of you ladies!

As we were leaving we decided to take Isabelle with us... Her and Rian have been friends for a long time and it was fun for her to hang out for the rest of the weekend.
I just had to take a pic of all the kids in our house.  It was only for a few hours, but this is what it would look like if we had 9 children!  I love all of these guys!

Seven Peaks Water Park-SLC

Pass of all Passes got us into this water park for free.  Those passes have paid for themselves several times over.  Perfect investment...especially since we plan to use them for this park again and again.  I was only able to get a few pics on my phone since water and cameras don't go well together...also the older kids were off and I wasn't able to track them down for any sort of pic.  They had a blast.  Nice to have cousins around to keep each other company.
Avery and Ammon                                                                         Ammon loved the slide in the kiddie section

At lunch we ate altogether under the trees.  Nice break...then on to several more hours of fun.  It was fun to have Baylie and Avery with us to finish the day out!

Girls Camp

Rian's first year to girls camp!  She was so excited!  This was Tuesday morning when I dropped her off at the leaders house.  She is so ready to grow up...too fast.  I was actually really jealous that she got to go and I couldn't.  I need to wiggle my way into YW to go next year!  Love you babe, glad you had a wonderful week.

Timpanogos Caves

We live about 2 miles from the mouth of the American Fork Canyon and decided to take the challenge of the whole family up the 1.5 mile hike to the Timp. Caves.  Ammon made it most of the way, but ended up on Trent's shoulders.  When Trent and I were at BYU we have heard of these caves but for some reason never hiked it...so we finally did it!

This was a pretty good hike...great work out!
Notice the smiles at the start of the trail...by the end of this post you will see how tired they were...

Raegan

A lady offered to take our family pic...such a gorgeous view up there

One of many little 'tunnels' on the trail                                           Tarin wanted to flex her muscles

Finally made it to the top...you can see how pooped they were.  But we had time til our tour of the caves started so we rested

The caves were so magnificent!  Loved all the textures and creations!  All these pics are phone pics, so they aren't very good, but I wish you could see how beautiful they really are.

Tarin and Ammon checking out the view while our tour guide dictates the information.  BTW, the cave temperature is about 45 degrees year round.  So, hiking up all sweaty and hot this was a nice relief, but then the jackets were needed.

Tour guide and some of our tour group

At the end, we were able to sign the log book and look at the breathtaking view!  For weeks Ammon has been asking to climb a mountain...he got his wish.

After making our way back down the mountain, we stopped over at the creek.  As you can see, we were all tired.  Sheesh, I look frumpy...time to start my running again!
