Dayz At The Beach

Only home from Arizona for a few days and...we had this incredible last minute opportunity to stay at the Boardwalk Beach Condos in Panama City, Florida for 2 nights. With the drive roughly under 5hrs. (including stops), we decided to go for it! (Sure beats the 30 hr. drive home from AZ!) Although it was a bit overcast, it was still a great time with white, sandy beaches and clear, greenish water. The water was perfect temp. and shell hunting was a hit. {so I just noticed that I put RMP on all of my pictures...I think I was around my family a bit long...}

21st floor with a great view

More pictures to come! I have so many!

Mesa Temple

{Still playing catch up in my posts!}
The kids got to visit the temple that Trent and I were married in! The grounds are so beautiful and glorious...now if only it wasn't 116 degrees outside and 'monsoon season' (a bit humid). But it was still neat for the kids to walk around for a bit.

Nixon and Ashton were with us too.

Checking out the fountain

Everyone was a bit tired and worn out by the time we got to this picture. Either way, it was a good one. It was nice being 'home' in Arizona for several weeks to visit, do, and experience things with the kids.

Gpa Palmer Time

Jarom missed Scout Day Camp this summer because we were out West, so we needed to look through his book and see what we could accomplish. One requirement was wood working...my dad has his own garage with tools and all sorts of stuff, so I thought this would be perfect not only to build something, but to spend time with his Grandpa Palmer.

Thank you Gpa Palmer for helping him with this! You both did a fabulous job. It will last a very long time! Wish we lived closer to take advantage of your talents more often. Love you.

Rian and Jarom's Week

Rian and Jarom both had the opportunity to visit Utah family while we were out West. They spent time with Gma and Gpa Wardwell and their many cousins. Thanks to everyone out there for giving them this opportunity and for all the great times they had.

On the drive up, they stopped by to see GGma Demille, Stacey's mom.

Looks like good times!

The kids all got the chance to visit temple square.

Thank you Gma and Gpa, they had a wonderful time and still talk about it. And thanks to everyone that sent me these pictures!

Photog Class

As I was visiting my hometown, I was finally able to catch up with a photog group on facebook that is based there. We went out on a photoshoot with Jill Ison's cute daughter, Natalie. I still have a ton to learn and a ton to experiment with, but here is a bit of what I was able to capture...

I had a lot more pics, but uploading pics today has been a pain...Thanks Jill, I learn so much when I'm around you. Wish I lived closer to benefit from your skills and talent!

Great Grandpa Maynard

My kids had the great opportunity to visit their Great Grandfather Maynard. He is 60 years older then me...making him 93 years old. Love you Grandpa.

Palmer Cabin

Over the weekend, my mom and I took the three youngest kids up to the cabin (Rian and Jarom were still w/ gma and gpa Wardwell in Utah). The temperatures in the valley were always triple digits...so 60's and 70's were just what we were needing. Up by Payson, close to the Mogollon Rim my parents have this really neat cabin. It was so peaceful, cool and I loved the smells of the Juniper pines! A smell I've missed.

Ammon thought the lights were perfect for chairs.

Loving the swing Gpa Palmer had hand crafted.

Hiking around the forest preservation in the 'backyard'.

Scrapping off the mud from the hike. It had rained a bit.

Up to the Rim.

cool binoculars to look at the view

Then on to Woods Canyon Lake. My favorite lake growing up! It is so beautiful! I loved showing my kids things I did when I was littl'er'. The trails were the best!

Even Ammon loved climbing all the rocks

Tarin and Raegan found makeshift fishing poles and decided to be like the other fishermen out there.

Ammon especially loved throwing rocks into the lake

Still trying to catch a fish.
