All I Want.... My Two Front Teeth!

It's official! She is now without her two front teeth. Actually, we had gotten one of Jarom's teeth out too...it was kind of like a tooth removal party. Raegan is working on one (stubborn tooth came in from behind, so the baby isn't loose). Ammon was feeling a bit left out and kept requesting he get a tooth out too.

Happy Father's Day

How do you top a Mother's Day Spa Day? Well, this guy isn't into spas or breakfast in bed...and not into power tools...but we do know he likes Raisin Bran and lovin' from his family.

We got out our 'dad' place mat and made him a big bowl of cereal. Each of the kids brought him a box. (Being on a tight budget is more fun...they loved this idea)

And put together a fun coupon book...that never expires!

Here are just a few entries that I thought would warm any father's heart!!!

I have the best kids ever...who have the best dad that make them that way!

Tarin and Raegan had gotten their hair cut the day before, so they were very excited to show off their hair cut at church. Because they both had gotten about 4 inches off (on each) they sat and talked to each other about how no one will recognize them at church and that in Primary they may be called up to be sung the Hello song as visitors...they loved getting their new look!

Then the tie...this is the tie we made him 3 years ago. He wears it every Father's Day. I wish I had gotten a picture of him wearing it...but you can see it hanging with all his other ties, even the one with a pen mark on it...marks made with love from the kids.

Then finally, for dinner, we had Porcupine meatballs with mashed potatoes, rolls and brownies at his request! Yum!

It was a great Father's Day! We are very thankful to have Trent as a Father!

BBQ Night

We had a few families over for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun. I tried out a dessert from the Martha Stewart Food Magazine. I love to bake and create, but haven't done so in a while...so I felt this was my chance. Wasn't quite as pretty as the magazine photo, but I think it still turned out great. It's a pastry, with pistachios and strawberries topped with apricot jam. Yum!

Wendy's Dollar Night

Wendy's has become our Thursday dinner nights. It's only a dollar for kid meals and the clown shows up to face paint and do balloon animals.

Nixon Mania

I just had to post this. My dad joined the world of Facebook, and I was searching my archive of pictures to find a funny picture to suggest as a profile picture...well, I found this one of my nephew, Nixon, from last summers' visit out west. He truly has his daddy's humor!

Memorial Day

To look at this flag brings a swelling of pride to my heart. It is a great honor to be part of this country and to have the freedoms we have. I'm very humbled to know that so many have the courage and bravery to stand up for our country, enough to die for our country. Thank you to all those who have done this so that me and my family can have the freedoms we enjoy today. My father is one of those. Although he did not die for his country, he served it well. Thank you, Thank you.

We had Troy & Kristin and their two little ones over for a BBQ. Sprinklers were also on the menu. Here is Bryn trying to get into the water-filled wagon.

Ammon and Raegan jumping through the sprinklers. They absolutely loved this.

Partners in Crime

Tarin and Jarom showing off...I was a bit fast on Jarom's jump, but thought the effort looked just as entertaining!

King of the sprinkler

Filling the wagon and water guns.

Troy & Kristin Family

Kind of cheating putting this post up. But I loved these two pictures. The two little faces looking back are so cute. So you two, just a sneak peak...I have many more to go over.

And any picture with a mom consoling her sad children always reinforces God's plan for us...learning and loving

End Of Another School Year

Another year has come to an end. Last week was a busy one, with 4 kiddos having 4 different award ceremonies. This will also be the last year we have 4 in the same schooling facility. Next year Rian will be in Middle School! Gosh, I feel to young to be this old! Ammon still has another year til he can even make the lottery for Pre-K. So never again will we have this many kids in the same school. Guess you could say it was easy while it lasted. Now on to choppier seas, preteen, attitudes, peer pressure to the max. and more tears of drama to be shed. okay off the soap box... To update what grade they are going into: Rian, 6th grade, Jarom, 5th grade, Tarin, 3rd grade, and Raegan, 2nd grade. Here are pictures from that last few days of school last week.

Tarin's class put on 2 short plays about Pollinating. Tarin was a butterfly and then a bee. Finally, several kids piled onto the couch for a final goodbye. Ammon loves the attention, in all the classes!

Jarom and his teacher Mrs. Ritchie. He also happened to be in the same class as Sam Thorne...I think they have been in 3 classes together at this school. Pretty cool. Maybe next year, crossing our fingers...

Ammon loves to be at school! And his siblings love to have him there! He also loved the visitor stickers during Rian's graduation ceremony in the gym. My camera phone didn't do great for pictures from where I sat when watching Rian.

Rian's good friends, Elena and Chloe

Rian's teacher Mrs. McMurray

Once again, Ammon can't resist seeing his siblings. He loved going to sit with Raegan before her ceremony. And Raegan and Natalie, little buddies.

Raegan and Mrs. Moen. We love Mrs. Moen. Tarin had her for Kindergarden, Raegan for 1st grade.

Trap Shooting

A few weeks ago, Trent and I had a Groupon to try Skeet Shooting. At first I raised my eyebrows to the idea, but figured, 'hey, it's worth trying! After all, I do live in the deep south, right?!' I had shot a 22 before and held a shot gun, but never actually pulled the trigger on a shot gun. I've always heard there is a kick back on shot guns, so I've stayed away. Well, here was my chance.

Brief tutorial...
BTW, skeet shooting is side to side, and Trap shooting is in front of you. We figured we weren't "skilled" enough to do skeet.

"Pull!"

Yep, a little kick back, but nothing I couldn't handle. Can you see the little disc/clay pigeon? It was really a lot of fun! Trent had me go first, probably to see what he needed to beat. Out of 25 rounds, I hit (yep I did hit some) 8! I was told by that guy, that for a first time, 5 is considered really good. That's right, I did 3 more then that...

Next up...

Drum Roll...he did really good. *smirk* He hit the 5 mark. Yep, I beat him! I still remind him about it. He's thinking we need to go back so he can attempt to beat me... I'm up to the challenge!
