Raegan's Baptism

The big day has arrived...  Raegan has made the decision to be baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  We are very proud of her and her sweet innocent life that brings such joy to our family.  She plays a significant role in our family, as do all the kids.  You are a great example to your little brother and many others.  We love you.

September 1, 2012 at 10am Raegan was baptized.

Had many cousins sing the Primary Song "When I Am Baptized".   Raegan was baptized with Clarissa Lloyd.  Our bishop, Bishop Cloward on his scooter (broken leg).

Thank you to all the family that has shown up for Raegan's special day.  Thank you Tony for driving up from AZ...so good to see you.  We love you all.

Raegan and Rian are excited for this season of soccer.  We all love to watch them play.
Sophie and Raegan are such good buddies and soccer buddies!
Go Purple Cheetas!

Rian had her first game and did a great job.
Go Titans!

Raegan Is 8 Yrs Old

Raegan has been counting down to this day for a long long time.  Finally, she can say she is 8!  I love my girl and so proud of all she has become.  She is a special big girl with so much to offer.  I love you sweetie pie!
Tradition to have a pancake breakfast the morning of your birthday.

Because her birthday was the Saturday before school started, we decided to have her celebration the next Saturday.  I heard about the MATC Cosmetology and how they do birthday parties.  It was low cost and a lot of fun for these fashionistas.

First Day Of School

The kids had mixed feelings about this day.  They were glad to get back into routine, but that also meant less freedom to play and sleep.  Rian is in 7th grade at Mountain Ridge Jr High, Jarom is in 6th, Tarin 4th and Raegan 3rd all at Deerfield Elementary School.  Jarom was sad he couldn't transition yet...if we were in Georgia, he would have been in Middle school this year.  Oh well, he's the big man on campus.  Raegan of course is my most excited for school!  She loves it.

Rian was getting on the bus at 7:35am just 3 houses down from ours.
I rode bikes with Jarom, Tarin and Rae for the first day, to make sure they knew where to go.  This is them walking their bikes around the back of the school to lock them up and play til the bell rang.  I think they are really going to love the freedom of having school so close.  It was a good first day!

If You Don't Have One...Make One!

What do Rednecks and Mormons have in common?  If they don't have something, they make it themselves.  It was a hot Saturday, and actually Joe and Noelle Brown (neighbors) birthday...and this seemed like a fun idea.  Robert Brown (and his family also use to live in the South -- South Carolina--so they know about southern traditions ie redneck ways) thought this idea up.  I came over to check on my kids and this is what I saw.  I couldn't help whip out my camera and document the fun afternoon!

Robert took the "limo" for a ride just up and down the street.  It was funny to watch the waves as he took off and stopped!

And yes, the water came from the hose so you can imagine the icy coldness they felt each time they got wet...had to take a few breaks to warm up on the hot sidewalk.  Cute little Abby Woods and Tarin basking in the warmth...
Joe decided to out do everyone's expectations and attempt a belly flop...not one, but several times.
Joe and Jarom decided to try it together.  Crazy how much you can do in this little pick up truck!

They wanted to fill up what had been splashed out...

Which also meant watching the tire get lower and lower.

Ammon wasn't too thrilled at all the splashing that went on...he can dish it, but sure couldn't take it...little teaser!
Then it was the hair contests.  Tarin loved flipping her hair.  Definitely out did the boys.  But that didn't stop Joe from his double horn hair-do.

Then it was time to unleash the water!  They loved watching it fall all over them!

Of course they had to follow the water down the street where it ended up down a storm drain.  It really was a fun few hours!

Early Birthday Present

My baby girl is about to turn 8 in a few short days.  Tradition with all my girls, is to have their ears pierced for this wonderful age.  She was terrified, but afterward was glad she did it.  Love you baby girl!

Spa Night

I found this neat oil treatment for your hair on pintrest and I had face mask and foot scrub...so I thought let's make this a spa night.  This was initially suppose to be for me and the girls, but the boys wanted to join in.
The hair oil was suppose to be used with a shower cap, but I didn't have 5, so we used aluminum foil.  My kids all looked like the tin man from the wizard of oz with foil and face mask on.  It was pretty fun.  With 5 busy kiddos to pamper, I wasn't as fortunate to get any treatments but it was all worth it seeing my kids having so much fun.

More Visitors!

Chis & Deanna Runyan and Evan & Cheryl Smith and all their kiddos came out to visit family and were able to make a stop by for a night of BBQing and some killer frisbee moves.  Chris and Evan both served in Trent's mission and then they all roomed together at BYU.  Over the years they have gotten together for different vacations and kept in touch.  Very cool friendship they all have (Jason was here earlier this summer and Seth and Jeremy...hope to see them all soon).

Me, Trent, Chris, Deanna, Evan, and Cheryl
all of our three families together--crazy how time flies.  Seems like yesterday we were all in college.
